  7. Appmen is a utility and should not cause dammage but like all software
  8. it will almost certainly contains some bugs so all normal care should be
  9. taken (regular saving of documents etc.) as you should do always just
  10. incase. Also:

  27. Welcome to Appmen!  Appmen is a program that displays an icon near the top right hand
  28. corner of you screen. By clicking on this icon you can switch to any program currently
  29. running on you system.    If you put Appmen.exe in the startup group it will be loaded
  30. everytime Windows starts.
  31.  
  32. Appmen is shareware NOT freeware.  This means that you may try appmen for up to 30
  33. days but after that time you must either regester it (see below) or remove it from
  34. your system.  You may distribute Appmen to your friends as long as you do not modify
  35. any of the files and that you distribute it with all the files below.

  46. In addition to this it may be distributed with the following file.  (You may
  47. or may not have got this file with APPMEN)

  50. VBRUN300.DLL - People you distribute this program to will most likely have this already.
  51.            If you don't have this file yet (check your system directory) then you 
  52.            can get it from the internet address below.

  54. NB.  This shareware can not be sold and the only charge that a shareware 
  55. vendor can charge is the cost of the disk and distribution.  On a BBS the
  56. only charge that can be made is the normal BBS charge if the BBS is a pay
  57. BBS.  NO EXTRA CHARGE CAN BE MADE FOR APPMEN.  Also shareware vendors must
  58. make it clear that APPMEN is shareware and inform the buyer of the shareware
  59. concept.

  61. If you register you will recieve the latest version of APPMEN.  Here are some things
  62. that I have be working on for the next version:

  64. -  Having icons in the menu
  65. -  Having the icon of the current program instead of the "T"
  66. -  Making the name in the APPMEN menu better match the name in TASKMAN.EXE

  69. REGISTRATION:

  71. There are 2 ways to register here is the hard way :

  73. To register just send a 3.5" disk with a STAMPED SELF ADDRESSED ENVELOPE 
  74. (big enough for a disk) and $10 (Australian) to:

  84. If you don't want to bother with the envelope and disk add the following
  85. amounts to the quoted prices above and below (If you live in another country
  86. read bellow).  REMEMBER THOUGH TO INCLUDE YOU ADDRESS OR I WILL NOT BE
  87. ABLE TO SEND THE DISK OUT.  ALSO INCLUDE YOUR NAME OR COMPANY NAME SO THAT
  88. I CAN MAKE OUT A LICENCE CERTIFICATE.

  100. I do not recommend cash and cannot be held responsible if it goes missing
  101. or gets stolen, but I will accept it.  The best thing would be an Australian
  102. cheque (check) made out to Dylan Radcliffe or any other safe way of getting 
  103. money to me by post such as mail orders.  Sorry but at the moment NO CREDIT 
  104. CARDS.  I also do not accept cheques of another currency (than Australian)
  105. US dollars will be accepted and the cost will be $US8.  (Remember that if 
  106. you do not send a disk and stamped seft addressed envelope you must add on 
  107. the costs above.)

  109. Registration entitles you to use appmen at one computer for as long as you
  110. want and cheap upgrades to future versions of appmen and discounts off

  114. KNOW BUGS:
  115.  
  116. Here are a few bugs in APPMEN v 1.11
  117.  
  118.  -  Name in menu is sometimes different to the name on the title bar of the 
  119.     program or the name in taskman
  120.  
  121.     This bug appears to have been fixed in the registed v2.2 and the names 
  122.     in the appmen menu are much closer to taskman
  123.  
  124.  -  Sometimes their is trouble switching to certain programs.  This is a 
  125.     bug that is related to the first one.  I have had almost no problems in
  126.     2.2
  127.

  133.   - current task icon displayed
  134.   - genral bug fixes
